Austin, TX – March 15, 2026 — During SXSW 2026, Yamaha Music Innovations (YMI) delivered one of the festival’s most engaging brand activations with a three-day experience from March 13–15. The event served as the official introduction of the Yamaha Creator Pass, a new all-in-one platform designed to simplify the creative process for musicians, podcasters, and digital storytellers.

Throughout the weekend, the activation functioned as both a hands-on demo space and a networking hub, bringing together creators across multiple industries. Attendees were able to explore the platform in real time, interact with Yamaha representatives, and gain insight into how the company is rethinking the way creative tools are delivered in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

One of the biggest moments of the weekend came on March 15, when California Governor Gavin Newsom made a surprise appearance at the activation following a SXSW podcast taping. Joined by his wife, filmmaker Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and members of his team, the Governor took time to engage with the space and learn more about Yamaha’s latest innovation.

During his visit, Newsom briefly connected with Scott Yusuke Sugino, CEO & President of Yamaha Music Innovations. The visit highlighted the broader cultural and economic impact of platforms like Creator Pass, particularly as the creator economy continues to expand.

Google confirmed that they are in the process of making the Pixel Watch at this year’s I/O 2022 on May 11th. However, note to viewers that they only had a teaser, and the watch will not be available for purchase until later in the year, along with the Pixel 7.

 Google I/O is an annual developer conference hosted by Google in Mountain View, California. The “I/O” is short for Input/Output. The abbreviation also stands for the slogan “Innovation in the Open.”

After teasing the new gadget at the annual conference, google released that they are now coming up with an extensive collection of bands to fit the consumer’s style. Google has a style for each type of user regarding bands. The Milanese-style band has been designed for users looking for a more elegant style. The style features a woven stainless steel mesh that will be adjustable and closes down with magnetic force for a snug and secure fit. It has been compared to one of the apple watch designs. The stainless steel bands come in silver, black, and gold. 

Google has also designed a link bracelet band similar to the style that Rolex and Omega watch use. Each link connects to the piece after and before it. Link bands may also be expensive in look and cost. Other styles include a Fabric band, Stretch band, and the last and original Silicone band

Watch Features 

Pixel Watch may possess a water resistance of 50 meters. The innovative product includes a GPS and an optional 4G LTE model. It will also have the essential function of most smartwatches. Heart rate monitors, Pedometers. Physical activity tracker, Blood pressure monitors as well as Sleep monitors.

 According to sources, the watch is expected to be priced at around $400.

An event named Iconic Nights became one of the leading NFT affairs in California this weekend due to a prosperous night of art. The main event had speakers, artists, panelists, and celebrities. The Japanese company Sony has presented a new generation gaming console PlayStation 5 (PS5). The start date of sales and the cost of the console will be announced later.

The company’s shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost value after the presentation of the console. By the close of trading on Thursday, June 11, the price of one share was 7494 yen ($ 70.05), at the opening of trading on June 12 it fell by more than 2%. The same situation occurred with Sony shares in February 2013, when the company presented the PlayStation 4 console.

Most of the presentation was devoted to games that will be available on the PS5 and go on sale on the release date of the game console. A surprise for gamers was the announcement of the game “Spider-Man: Miles Morales”. This game is a continuation of the plot of the first part of Spider-Man, developed by Insomniac Games by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The main character of the new game will be Miles Morales, the successor of Peter Parker (Spider-Man).

Sony also presented a few more games that will be released only on the PlayStation 5:

Horizon: The Forbidden West (action RPG);
GhostWire: Tokyo (first-person action);
Demon’s Souls (role-playing game in the dark fantasy genre);
Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart (game for children);
Returnal (futuristic thriller).

In addition to the console itself, which will go on sale in two versions – with and without a drive (Digital Edition – buying games through the PlayStation Store), the company introduced new gamepads, a separate station for charging them (it will be possible to charge two gamepads at the same time), headphones, and a remote PS5 controls and a webcam to synchronize the game console with devices. All of these devices will first be sold separately from the console. Whether the PS5 with a full range of accessories will go on sale in the future, Sony has not yet reported.

Ampere Analysis predicts that PS5 consoles will be priced between $ 450 and $ 499. According to Kantan Games CEO Serkan Toto, the price of the console in the range of up to $ 500 will not be such an important factor for gamers, while Sony will be able to set a lower price for the console without a drive, Bloomberg reports.
