A whole week has passed, and authorities have yet to find Casey White and Vicky White. Vicky, a corrections officer who police assume helped an inmate, Casey white, escape, has a warrant for her arrest. The inmate was detained
at the Lauderdale County Jail as he was waiting for a murder trial. The two vanished after the 56-year-old officer stated she was transporting Casey to a courthouse for a scheduled mental health evaluation, according to camera footage and documents. She then called into work to let the job know that she would be swinging by the hospital after dropping off the inmate. Instead, Vicky never returns with Casey. Investigators say, her medical visit was not documented, nor was the mental evaluation. Six hours had past buy until anyone noticed she had not returned with the inmate.

A press conference in Florence, Alabama, was held. Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton stated that an active warrant had been issued for Vicky White on charges of authorizing/facilitating escape in the first degree.
“We know she participated, whether she did that willingly or if she was coerced, threatened somehow to participate in the case… not really sure…” Singleton expressed.

Singleton stated that investigators examine whether the inmate and the corrections officer were romantically involved. Vicky White is widowed with no children of her own. She has been with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years and was declared “employee of the year” a few times during her career there. This news has undoubtedly surprised her unit, however specially crafted.

The day before the incident, Ms.White submitted her retirement papers. Vicky sold her home located in Lexington, Alabama, for $95,550, which is less than the market value 12 days before she disappeared. Her patrol car was also found abandoned at a nearby shopping center. Casey White had been serving a 75-year sentence for home invasion and carjacking in 2015. He was charged in 2020 with two counts of capital murder after admitting to stabbing a 58-year-old woman Connie Ridgeway to death, to which he, later on, pleaded not guilty.

Singleton told the press that Vicky White was unaccompanied by another officer when she left the jail with the 6-foot-9, 260-pound inmate. According to the department policy, at least two sworn deputies should transport a person under such charges.
Authorities think Casey White could now be armed with Vicky’s handgun and should be assumed dangerous.
The U.S. Marshals Service encourages civilians to share any information offering up to $10,000 for leads to the capture.

as the nationwide chase continues.
The automobile they traveled in was found abandoned in Tennessee a week ago. Police in Williamson County, Tennesse., communicated that a 2007 Ford Edge was found locked on the side of the road in Bethesda, Tennesse. Officials said that the abandoned SUV was
recognized on Thursday night as possessed by Vicky White. According to sources, the automobile was believed to be sprayed painted.

Authorities are now presenting rewards up to $15,000 for information leading to Casey White’s capture and $10,000 for knowledge guiding to the capture of Vicky White.
At a news conference, Singleton advised Vicky White to turn herself in.
“You know we’re gonna find you,” he declared. “Get out while you can and turn yourself into local authorities wherever you’re at.”
