In the very early morning hours of October 2nd 2020, Donald Trump tweeted that both he and the U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump, had in fact tested positive for the Coronavirus. According to NBC News, the national security of the country, its domestic policy, and other issues will no doubt be impacted since the U.S. Commander-in-Chief has now contracted the deadly disease that has taken hundreds of thousands of lives across the nation since February of 2020.

According to The Military Times, Trump was taken to Walter Reed Military Hospital, which is not a long helicopter ride from the White House. The report indicates that he will continue to do his duties as President from that location as the virus that’s killed over 210,000 people now has invaded the body of the man holding the nation’s highest office.

“We will begin our quarantine process immediately,” he tweeted at around 1:00 a.m.

Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 2, 2020

Trump of course has denied that the coronavirus is such a serious issue over the past several months. He has also been passive about the death toll from the disease, saying in one HBO Axios interview in reference to the number of people across America who have died from COVID-19, “It is what it is…”

But, now that he and his wife have contracted the disease, he seems to be following the correct medical protocol. “I want to thank everybody for the tremendous support,” he said in a video right before being airlifted to the military hospital. “I’m going to Walter Reed Hospital, I think I’m doing very well, but we are going to make sure that things work out. The First Lady is doing very well. So thank you very much, I appreciate it, and I’ll never forget it.”

Joe Biden’s Reaction to Trump Getting Coronavirus

After getting the news, The White House is on a frantic hunt to find out who Trump has been in contact with lately, and are trying to be sure that they develop that list and get those people quarantined as well. Potential people outside of the residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC who he has been in close proximity to are also currently being tested.

Joe Biden sends his prayers for Trump’s health. Image from Action News Jax.

Presidential hopeful Joe Biden made comments after the news that Trump had acquired COVID-19 spread quickly across media outlets nationwide. “My wife Jill and I pray that they will make a quick and full recovery,” he said shortly after the former Vice-President took a Coronavirus test that came up negative. “This is not a matter of politics. It’s a bracing reminder to all of us that we have to take this virus seriously. It’s not going away automatically. We have to do our part to be responsible.”

Biden also is reportedly removing the attack ads from his campaign after hearing that Trump had been diagnosed with the virus.

The news of Trump contracting COVID-19, which has infected over seven million Americans at this point, came just a few days after he and Biden had their very first Presidential Debate, one where the way that the President yelled could have possibly infected Biden. The fact that the current sitting president has the disease will have a major effect on future debates, and all this is happening with Election Day only about a month away.

Trump’s Current Condition After Being Infected With COVID-19

The New York Times reported that Trump was suffering from a fever, and had some congestion and coughing while going under constant tests at Walter Reed Military Hospital. He received an antibody treatment that is supposed to boost his immune system.

Trump exiting chopper to enter military hospital. Image from The Chicago Tribune.

Trump is 74-years-old, and the Coronavirus has a stronger effect on people his age. Also, when a mask is not worn, a person will breath in a much more concentrated form of the virus. Trump has held huge rallies over the past several months where there was hardly any social distancing or masks being worn. His health will be a major area of focus over the next several weeks.

The U.S. government is not ignoring the possibility that if Trump cannot perform his duties due to incapacitation, that Presidential power, according to the 25th Amendment, would go to the Vice-President, Mike Pence, who has currently tested negative for the disease.

Even though Sacha Baron Cohen reportedly had the police called on him over 90 times when making the first Borat movie back in 2006 (which was heftily entitled Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan), now fourteen years later he’s brought the over-the-top, daringly hilarious character “Borat Sagdiyev” back again in Borat 2. At least that’s what the fans are calling it.

But, as you see above, the title of the first one reflected the way that Borat actually spoke, and is a lengthy one. In fact, many reporters, when referring to it, instead of saying it all the way out, just refer to it as “Whatever the actual full title was…” as did popular film critic John Campea on his show in early September of 2020.

Well, let’s firstly get the name of the film correct, because ever since fans heard that Cohen had secretly finished developing the movie a little while back, they have been looking forward to finally seeing it. According to the trailer that was released by One Media on October 1st, 2020 (as well as The Los Angeles Times article that was released on the same day), the official name of the new film is Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Expectations for Borat 2

There were reportedly several lawsuits brought up against makers of the first Borat movie from unexpectedly-filmed people who were apparently caught off guard by the character in various locations, and ended up “looking like fools on camera”, according to the movie review YouTube channel, New Film. There is no telling what is going to happen with this new one!

Image from Collider.

When you see the trailer, you’ll realize that it very well could render those same results, and also know that you’re going to laugh your ass off once more in this sequel where Borat returns to what he refers to as “Yankee Land” during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Background of Sacha Baron Cohen

The first Borat character in 2006 was so brilliant, edgy and funny that Cohen got criticism from many for what the Encyclopedia of World Biography describes as “the character’s rampant Anti-Semitism”. The Anti-Defamation League actually went to the extent of making a statement about the movie, being that Cohen’s audaciously bold comedic style had some viewers confused as to whether some of what he was doing was a joke or not.

Born in London, England with the full given name of Sacha Noam Baron Cohen on October 13, 1971, the new 2020 Borat movie Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan will be released just ten days after his birthday.

Image from The Movie My Life.

The British actor actually studied history at Cambridge before he decided to go into entertainment, and was best known in the late 1990’s for his hip-hop journalist character on The 11’Oclock Show named “Ali G”.

It is predicted that fans of the first one will love this sequel just as much, if not more.

America felt the frustration that Chris Wallace, the moderator for the recent Presidential Debate, was beginning to feel as he tried repeatedly to get Donald Trump to stop interrupting everything Joe Biden was trying to say during his turns to speak.

“It’s hard to get any word in with this clown…I’m sorry, person,” Biden responded when Wallace was trying to tell the former Vice-President that it was one of his moments to get the last word in one of the questions.

“Here’s the deal,” the normally calm and collected moderator tried to explain after having to raise his voice to stop Trump from interrupting. “We have six segments. We have ended that (last) segment, we are going to go to the next segment. In that segment, you each are going to have two uninterrupted moments. In those two uninterrupted segments, Mr. President, you can say anything you want…”

Many networks and publications, one being The Washington Post, further explained how Wallace’s experience during the two-hour debate was like a “runaway train”. Directly following the debate, reports indicated how so many Americans were likely frustrated with trying to hear what the two presidential candidate’s solutions to the real issues of race inequality, COVID-19, and the current state of the economy were.

Image from CNN.

Highlights from the 1st Presidential Debate Between Biden and Trump

Some of the best moments during the debate on Joe Biden’s part was when he maintained sticking to the facts as Trump relentlessly attempted to interrupt him. He pointed out exactly how many people were currently dying (and have died) from COVID-19 for example, and made viewers remember how Donald Trump told the public that the Coronavirus would go away on its own earlier in 2020.

Biden also resonated directly with the American people because, several of the times when Trump tried to interrupt Joe from speaking the facts, the former Vice-President would then look straight at the camera as if he was looking the millions of viewers at home in the eye, and talk to them straightforwardly about Coronavirus.

“You folks at home,” Joe began. “How many of you got up this morning, and had an empty chair at the kitchen table, because someone died of COVID? How many of you were in a situation where you lost your mom or dad, and you couldn’t even speak to them? You had a nurse holding a phone up so you could in fact say goodbye…this is the same man who told you that, by Easter, this would be gone by the warm weather, that it would be gone, miraculous, like a miracle…”

Image from ABC News.

Biden went on to reference how when Trump was presented with the number of deaths from the pandemic, he previously responded “It is what it is…” something former First Lady Michelle Obama also had pointed out in her speech at the Democratic National Convention several weeks before.

“Well, ‘it is what it is’,” Biden said, “because you are who you are…”

The debate moderator, Wallace, who is an Anchor for Fox News, then asked Trump would he be willing right then and there to condemn white supremacists and militia groups to stand down, and add to the already horrible violence going on in cities across the United States.

“I’d be willing to do that, but I would say that almost everything I see is from the left wing, not from the right wing. I’m willing to do anything…”

Wallace then gave him the go-ahead to denounce these violent racist groups. “Then do it, sir…”, said the moderator.

Trump asked him what group in particular was it that the moderator wanted him to instruct to stand down, and Wallace said The Proud Boys, who are, according to The New York Times, a violence-advocating, white supremist group who Trump has been denying to denounce since 2016 when he was first elected as President.

“Do it,” Biden also asked Trump to do. “Say it.”

“Proud Boys,” Trump said, “Stand back, and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s gotta do something about Antifa and the left, because this is not a right wing problem, this is a left wing problem…”

Image from The Real Deal.

Trump not only refused to denounce the white supremacy organization, but also said how he wouldn’t accept it if he thought the election ballots weren’t accurate. “I’m urging my supporters to go into the polls,” he said, “and watch very carefully, because that’s what has to happen, I am urging them to do it…I hope it’s gonna be a fair election. If it’s a fair election, I am 100% on board, but if I see tens of thousands of ballots being manipulated, I can’t go along with that…”

Trump had also recently (before the presidential debate with Biden) not fully committed to a peaceful transfer of power from president to president.

Reactions to the 1st 2020 Presidential Debate

People are now brainstorming how to make the head-to-head presidential debate better, and Joe Scarborough from MSNBC has one of the best suggestions…to turn off the microphone from a candidate if it’s not their turn to talk. According to The Hill, Scarborough actually parted with the Republican party not long after Donald Trump was elected as Commander-in-Chief, and the host of the popular program “The Morning Joe” tweeted that they should “cut his mic” so that ideas can be communicated more clearly.

This is a colossal waste of the American people’s time. If they are not going to cut his mic so we can have an exchange of ideas, then Biden should not attend any more debates,
— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) September 30, 2020

Vice-Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, who was previously the 32nd Attorney General of the State of California and who Joe Biden chose as his running mate in early August 2020, was asked by CNN does she think that Joe should do another debate with the way Trump acted in this first one. “Joe Biden’s never gonna refuse to talk to the American people,”she said, “and have any opportunity that he can to speak directly to American families, speak about the issues, speak the truth, and address the facts of where we are now.”

Senator Bernie Sanders was another politician to respond to how the presidential debate went. He did so on Jimmy Kimmel’s post debate show. “I think Biden was able to make some very important points tonight,” he said, “while Trump continues to lie in an incredible way.”

Recently, Donald Trump was in the news again, this time in a head-turning report from the New York Times about his non-payment of federal income taxes over the past couple of decades. According to the September 27th report, (which was researched and written by Ross Buettner, Susanne Craig and Mike Mcintrye), Trump paid $750 in 2016 and the same amount again in his first year as President.

But, after The Times was able to retrieve information about his taxes that the public has been in search of for years, it was found that he had not “paid any taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years – largely because he reported losing much more money that he made.”

“We’ve been negotiating for a long time,” Trump said in a briefing shortly after the report was released. “Things get settled like in the IRS, but right now when you’re under audit, you don’t do that. So right now we’re under audit.”

Image from Fortune.

Trump denied giving any exact numbers about what he actually has paid in federal taxes, and feels that the report about his past financial history is only coming up now because of the upcoming election.

Details About Trump’s Income and Taxes

Generally, when the American public thinks of Donald Trump, they know him to be a very rich man. So, when these kinds of reports come about (the New York Times actually went back two decades into his financial history) it is shocking to think that with all the properties, golf courses and such, that him paying taxes would be a problem at all.

Still, as American citizens, we all have the right to know the Commander-in-Chief’s tax history, and it’s just mind blowing how much money Donald

Trump has made over the past couple of decades. According to one CNBC report, with the American reality series that Trump became very popular on called “The Apprentice” (which aired from 2004-2017), he made about $427 million.

Image from Washington Post.

He also made another $176 million with Vornado Buildings. According to their website, the company “owns and operates nearly 20 million feet of prime office properties.” These properties make up about 25% of Trump’s fortune, and The New York Real Estate News reported earlier in the summer of 2020 that they were looking to sell any towers that Trump co-owned. This came about as critics were still pointing out the fact that he may have had trouble “maintaining his business interests while in office.”

When it comes to office retail buildings overall, Trump has reportedly made about $336 million over the years.

Trump’s Business Failures

Much of the money that Trump made he actually put into buying hotels and golf courses, businesses that lost hundreds of millions of dollars over time, according to the recent New York Times report. The losses from those businesses are what he mostly reported to the IRS, and experts feel that was the reason why he was able to get away with not paying taxes for such a long time.

The current IRS audit is based on a refund that Trump received in 2010 of $73 million.

Born in New York on March 13th, 1933, Ginsburg eventually became the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court. And, although she battled cancer for many years, she missed almost no time from the bench. Bill Clinton nominated her to be the 107th Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court in 1993.

Background of Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg

Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg had always been in love with the law. In 1963, she started working as a Law Professor at Rutgers, and taught a Gender and Law Course, something that was influenced by her students at the time. It was during those years that she started dealing with sex discrimination cases.

Ginsburg ended up winning five out of the six cases that she argued in front of the Supreme Court. When it came to laws in the 1970’s that restricted women, she felt closely related to what American females were going through when it came to equal rights. Image from NY Times.

Marching and demonstrating wasn’t her thing, being that she was shy and reserved by nature. And, although she was small in stature, Ginsburg knew what her strengths were. If a case that had to do with sex discimination and/or a blatant violation of civil rights was on its way to the Supreme Court, then she wanted to take that case over if it had a chance to create a good law.

Ginsburg wanted to follow in the footsteps of Thurgood Marshall (the first African-American Supreme Court Justice), and viewed the clause of the Constitution that guarantees equal protection under the law the same way he did. She wanted equal protection for women in particular, and brought the same tenacity to the issues of sexism in the 1970’s as activists in the 1950’s did for the civil rights of African-Americans.

Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg in a workout session in her mid-80’s. Image from AP News.

In the 1970’s laws against women were horrible. For example, employers in most states could legally fire a woman simply for being pregnant. Banks back then actually had the right to require a woman applying for credit to have her husband co-sign. Even marital rape was hardly ever prosecuted.

The first case that Ginsburg argued in front of the Supreme Court was Frontiero v Richardson. Sharron Frontiero was a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force, and she realized quickly after getting there that married men that she worked with got a housing allowance and she didn’t receive, simply because she was a woman. Ginsburg won this landmark case, and because of that win the military cannot hold back benefits from a person simply because of their sex.

RBG. Image from The New Yorker.

But, Ginsburg was fighting not only for women, but for sex discrimination against men as well. In 1977 she fought the Supreme Court case Califano v Goldfarb. It involved a man named Leo Goldfarb, whose wife died while giving birth to their child in 1968. Even though she’d worked for the New York Public School system for over two decades, he couldn’t receive any benefits, help that would have been given to his wife if he had died, but that he could receive simply because he was a man. Ginsburg represented him, won the case, and now when it comes to receiving benefits widowers can’t be discriminated against because of sex.

Other historical cases Ruth Bader Ginsburg influenced were Edwards v Healy in 1975 (where Ginsburg challenged Louisiana law allowing women to opt out of jury service) and the United States v Virginia in 1996 (where the justice department challenged the exclusion of women from the Virginia Military Institute).

The Notorious RBG

Ginsburg was given the nickname “The Notorious R.B.G.” by today’s younger generation, who very well recognize how much of an impact she was on many of the laws we enjoy today. The name is of course closely similar to the late Brooklyn rapper, The Notorious B.I.G.

She was once asked at a conference did she realize where the nickname came from. “People would ask me if I felt uncomfortable with being called that,” Ginsburg said, “and I would say ‘Why would I feel uncomfortable? We have so much in common…”

The popular Notorious RBG logo. Image from Spreadshirt.

The crowd was tickled at her response, with her being well into her 80’s at the time of the question. She and Biggie were both born in Brooklyn, and this generation gave her the name because of her notorious nature. She even would give out Notorious RBG shirts to her friends! You can learn so much about her life from the 2018 documentary entitled RBG.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg will be missed not only for her strength, determination and longevity, but for the many ways she has changed the way America views sexism and civil rights forever.

In the past, Donald Trump has shunned the idea of a traditional transfer of power, even way back to the 2016 campaign when he was seemingly joking about it. Now, with the election just over a month away, he was recently asked by a reporter at a news conference how he would respond if he was to lose the election in November.

The question was asked because of the fact that there are many American cities right now that are rioting because of racial killings by police, and most recently because of the decision to only indict one of the three officers involved in the murder of Breonna Taylor, an African-American ER Technician who was killed in her sleep by police bullets in March 2020.

Trump has referred to protesters as “terrorists” according to the New York Times, and supports the National Guard being sent to the cities that are holding large protests. And, he recently refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power after the election.

Trump’s Response to Having a Peaceful Transfer of Power After the Election

The question Trump was asked about having peaceful transfer of power after the election (whatever the results may be in November) was very important to ask with the dangerous rioting going on all over the United States. With him being the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, notably the National Guard, the American public wants to know how he’ll react if he loses in November.

Trump choosing reporters to talk to during the conference where he is refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power. Image from NBC News.

The conversation between Trump and the reporter went like this:

REPORTER: Win, lose, or draw in this election, will you commit here today to a peaceful transfer of power? There’s been rioting in Louisville, there’s been rioting in many cities across this country, in both of the so-called red and blue states. Will you commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transferral of power after the election?

TRUMP: Well, we’re gonna have to see what happens. You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster.

REPORTER: I understand that. But people are rioting. Do you commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transfer of power?

TRUMP: Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very peaceful transfer, there won’t be a transfer frankly, there will be a continuation. The ballots are out of control. You know it. And you know who knows it better than anybody else? The democrats know it better than anyone else.

Reactions to Trump Not Committing to a Peaceful Transition of Power

“Fundamental to democracy is the peaceful transition of power; without that, there is Belarus,” tweeted Mitt Romney, a republican who isn’t hesitant when it comes to criticizing Trump. “Any suggestion that a president might not respect this constitutional guarantee is both unthinkable and unacceptable.”

Joe Biden was asked how he felt about Trump’s response. “What country are we in?” he said according to The Hill, then removed his mask so that the reporters could hear him clearer. “I’m being facetious, I said what country are we in?
The top republican in the senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, also responded against Trump on Twitter “There will be an orderly transition just as there has been every four years since 1792,” he wrote.

Although the family of slain African-American ER Technician Breanna Taylor recently received a settlement from the Louisville police department for her death, justice still had not been served because none of the police officers were charged with her killing. Breanna was shot while she was asleep after cops busted into her apartment (the wrong apartment for the person they were looking for) with a no-knock warrant on March 13th, 2020.

Many people in Louisville, Kentucky (as well as across the United States as a whole) feel that what recently occurred does not equal justice, because only one of the policemen involved in the shooting has been charged, and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of future charges planned for the other two cops.

The detective who was charged with three counts of what is referred to as “first degree wanton endangerment”, Brett Hankinson, is the man who was fired from the police department in June 2020. According to The Washington Post, The person who actually fired the shot that killed Breanna, Detective Miles Cosgrove, as well as the other officer in the shooting, Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, have not been charged.

Image from Star Radio-Cambridge.

The shots were deemed “justified” because the plain-clothes policemen who busted into the apartment that day (looking for a man who was already in police custody) were shot at first by Taylor’s boyfriend after they abruptly entered the living space.

What Exactly is Wanton Endangerment?

Former Detective Brett Wankinson was charged with three counts of Wanton Endangerment, and the charges had nothing to do with Brianna’s murder. The reason they aren’t connected to her death is because the charges are based on the fact that Wankinson had blindly fired his weapon into a neighboring apartment, according to USA Today.

In the State of Kentucky, Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree is labeled as a Class D Felony, with a sentence of up to five years maximum for each count of it. Breanna’s family lawyers were expecting at least a charge of manslaughter (for each of the officers), but two weren’t even charged, and the one who did will probably even get to be incarcerated at his home or in special housing instead of actually behind bars.

Image from Vox.

The official definition of First Degree Wanton Endangerment, according to Kentucky State Law 508.060, is as follows:

A person is guilty of wanton endangerment in the first degree when, under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life, he wantonly engages in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person.

Reactions to the Breanna Taylor Case Charging Decision

The city of Louisville, Kentucky is set to have a 9:00 p.m. curfew, and protests are anticipated by authorities after this charging decision. Breanna’s supporters are undoubtedly upset by this, and Police Chief Robert Schroeder said that the main goal of the police is to keep the public protected “while also ensuring the constitutional right for people to express their feelings in a lawful and peaceful manner.”

The National Guard has already been ordered to report to Louisville.

They literally did the opposite of “say her name”.
Dontari Poe, defensive lineman for the Cowboys, recently made history by becoming the first Dallas player ever to kneel during the National Anthem. He’d previously mentioned that he was going to perform this protest.

While fans watched the season openers in the NFL to observe how players and organizations would react to the social and racial injustice against Blacks and minorities in the United States, Poe was the only player on the team to kneel. Antwaun Woods, Aldon Smith and Assistant Coach Leon Lett stood close with their hands on his shoulders.

Owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, has spoken out in the past about kneeling during the anthem and how he was against it. But, with so much racial injustice going on in the country at this particular time, even he said that he wasn’t going to prohibit anybody on the team or in the organization who felt like kneeling from doing so. In fact, according to reports, Jones recently asked everyone on both sides of the issue to show the other side “grace”.

Dontari Poe told ESPN that he didn’t have any hard feelings against his teammates who decided that they were not going to kneel, and that it was simply his way of fighting racial injustice in America and bringing much-needed awareness to it.

Other NFL Teams Respond to ‘The Star Spangled Banner’

There were also several others in the league who had varied reactions to the playing of The Star Spangled Banner. For example, seven teams stayed in the locker room during the song on September 13th, the first Sunday of the NFL season. They were the Green Bay Packers, the Arizona Cardinals, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New York Jets, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Miami Dolphins, and the Buffalo Bills.

NFL players lock arms during National Anthem. Image from NY Times.

One of the individual kneels during the National Anthem that was most recognized was from Frank Reich, the coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Him being a White coach made him one of the most prominent men to do it, and he realized that there was going to be some negative responses to his protest from people across the country.

“I understand that there will be a backlash,” he told the Indy Star Newspaper. “Which is why it’s really important, when you make a decision to do something as an individual or a team, you’ve got to have a lot of conviction behind it. I was comfortable with the conviction we had as a team, and I had as an individual, that it was the right to do.”

The Black National Anthem to Be Played Across the NFL

The NFL has directed teams to also play the Black National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing during week one home games this 2020 season.

Word to the Black National Anthem. Image from Pinterest.

Word to the Black National Anthem. Image from Pinterest.

The song was first recited in the year 1900 by 500 children at an all-Black school in Stantonville, FL as a tribute to the U.S. President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. James Weldon Johnson, a school principal, civil rights activist and attorney, is who first created the song.

His brother, John Johnson, was who actually put music to the original poem, and that’s when it became a song officially. The NAACP then adopted the tune as the official Negro National Anthem in 1919, and is today known as the Black National Anthem.

Thousands of people visit September 11th Memorials throughout the month of September. In fact, these historic locations are open all year round, so that the people who lost family members or friends (as well as those who may not have lost close loved ones, but who simply want to pay their respects) can always have a place to remember the innocent lives that were taken by terrorism on that tragic day in 2001.

The Flight 93 National Sept. 11th Memorial

This memorial location is located at 6424 Lincoln Highway in Stoystown, Pennsylvania, and is visited all year round from people all across the United States. The only time that the park grounds and trails are closed are during extreme weather and certain federal holidays. Other than that, they are visitable 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Tower of Voices at The Flight 93 Sept. 11th Memorial in Stoystown, PA.
It’s super easy to plan your visit at their official website, and there are always multiple things to do and places to visit while you are there. For example, their calendar of events include things like ranger programs and cell phone tours, beautiful trails, a visitors center, a learning center, the Tower of Voices, and of course, Memorial Plaza.

The National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial

This September 11th Memorial is located at 1 N. Rotary Road in Arlington VA, and is a beautiful tribute to all of the people who were killed at The Pentagon on that tragic day in 2001. The official online pages for the memorial (which are presented by the Department of Defense) also has pictures of each of the victims of the extremely deadly terrorist attack on the first page of the official National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial Website.

Benches with engraved names of victims and lit pools underneath each one at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, VA.
One of the most beautiful things about this memorial location are the tributes to each life that was lost. Each memorial unit is a beautiful bench with an engraved victim’s name on it, and has a lit pool of water below it.

New York’s 9/11 Memorial & Museum

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is the top institution to learn and explore any and everything about the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, as well as the 1993 attacks on the same structure. There are tons of activities, exhibitions, tours, stores, and more that can be easily accessed by anyone who is interested.

The Memorial is open daily (the museum Thursday through Mondays), and is located at 180 Greenwich Street in New York City.

In Salt Lake City, Utah, a 13-year-old boy with a mental disorder called Asperger’s Syndrome was shot by the police multiple times at his home. His name is Lyndon Cameron, and his mother, Golda Barton, said that he was just having problems with her leaving the house, because she had not been back to work for about a year.

Golda broke down in tears as she spoke to reporters about what happened. “I said ‘look, he’s unarmed, he doesn’t have anything’,” she said. “He just starts yelling and screaming because he wants attention. He is a kid, and he doesn’t know how to regulate. Then I hear ‘Get down on the ground! Get down on the ground! Bam! Bam! Bam! (imitating gunshots)…why didn’t they tase him? Why didn’t they shoot him with a rubber bullet? He’s a small child. Why don’t you just tackle him? You are big police officers with massive amounts of resources.”

As a result of the shooting, the boy now has nerve damage and other injuries. Golda said that she’d called a Crisis Intervention Team, being that her son has a mental disability. It was the right thing to do, because that particular type of unit should be able to cater to her unique situation with her son acting irately because of his mental condition. But, the call for help ended up in bloodshed.

Use of Unnecessary Force in the Salt Lake City Shooting

Some of the cops on the scene said that 13-year-old Lyndon was threatening people with a weapon. But, spokesperson for the Salt Lake City Police, Detective Greg Wilking, wrote in a public statement that they “Could not speak specifically to whether the boy had a weapon or ‘what the officers’ perceived threats were, and that those questions would be determined by the investigation.”

The boy’s mother, Golda Barton, speaks out about the shooting a few days after the terrible incident. Image form The Daily Caller.

The boy’s mother, Golda, had called the Crisis Intervention Team, because she knew that this type of police unit is supposed to be trained to handle people with mental disorders in the event they act out in stressful situations, such as her son did when she was about to leave home for work for the first time in a very long time. The question on everyone’s mind at this time is, how did the situation escalate to the point that police had to use actual gunfire to subdue the boy, especially after they were told that he had Asperger’s Syndrome (which according to Web MD is within the Autism Spectrum Disorder category)?

Will Anything Happen to the Policeman After the Salt Lake City Shooting?

This event has happened as policemen across America are quickly gaining a reputation of being “trigger happy”, such as in the Kenosha, Wisconsin shooting when an unarmed Black man named Jacob Blake was shot in the back by police seven times with his children just feet away.

The scene on the shooting in Salt Lake City on Friday, Sept 4th, 2020.
Lesser force obviously could have been used in Kenosha, as well as in all of the other shootings by police over the years. The fact that this little boy in Salt Lake City was not Black just proves that many cops are not only racist, but are also just plain poorly trained in general, especially when it comes to de-escalating situations without using deadly force.
