The game console is presented in two versions: basic and Digital Edition, in which there will be no drive. Sony also presented several devices for the console and games that will be released only on the PS5.
The Japanese company Sony has presented a new generation gaming console PlayStation 5 (PS5). The start date of sales and the cost of the console will be announced later.
The company’s shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost value after the presentation of the console. By the close of trading on Thursday, June 11, the price of one share was 7494 yen ($ 70.05), at the opening of trading on June 12 it fell by more than 2%. The same situation occurred with Sony shares in February 2013, when the company presented the PlayStation 4 console.
Most of the presentation was devoted to games that will be available on the PS5 and go on sale on the release date of the game console. A surprise for gamers was the announcement of the game “Spider-Man: Miles Morales”. This game is a continuation of the plot of the first part of Spider-Man, developed by Insomniac Games by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The main character of the new game will be Miles Morales, the successor of Peter Parker (Spider-Man).
Sony also presented a few more games that will be released only on the PlayStation 5:
Gran Turismo 7 (car simulator);
Horizon: The Forbidden West (action RPG);
GhostWire: Tokyo (first-person action);
Demon’s Souls (role-playing game in the dark fantasy genre);
Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart (game for children);
Returnal (futuristic thriller).
In addition to the console itself, which will go on sale in two versions – with and without a drive (Digital Edition – buying games through the PlayStation Store), the company introduced new gamepads, a separate station for charging them (it will be possible to charge two gamepads at the same time), headphones, and a remote PS5 controls and a webcam to synchronize the game console with devices. All of these devices will first be sold separately from the console. Whether the PS5 with a full range of accessories will go on sale in the future, Sony has not yet reported.

4K UHD Blu-ray drive up to 100 GB / s.
Ampere Analysis predicts that PS5 consoles will be priced between $ 450 and $ 499. According to Kantan Games CEO Serkan Toto, the price of the console in the range of up to $ 500 will not be such an important factor for gamers, while Sony will be able to set a lower price for the console without a drive, Bloomberg reports.
