Hip-Hop fans know that Drake and Nicki Minaj have always been friends. And, when she dropped a line on the Sada Baby’s remix of Whole Lotta Choppas that said she wanted her new child and Drake’s son to have future playdates, a hint of nostalgia was in the air from years ago as we all remember how much they used to flirt with one another.
“This n***a making me feel erotic, he freak like Giannis/To be honest, I hope one day we do a play date with Adonis…”, the ten year rap veteran rapped on the upbeat track. According to The Source, Drake was apparently happy to hear the line, because he responded “Play dates coming soon” on social media.
It seemed like they were not on good terms for a good while, especially after Nicki remixed Meek Mills and Drake’s track Going Bad, when she rapped “I turn lemons into lemonade simply, dawg/Ole boy and my brother tryna end me, dawg…” But it’s good to see that the two of them have put their differences aside, and are now wanting their young children to get to know one another.
Drake’s Child, Adonis
According to People Magazine, Drake just celebrated his son Adonis’ 3rd birthday on Sunday, October 11th, 2020. He posted some really cute pictures on Instagram. One was in a room full of black, grey, silver and white balloons, one of them shaped like the number three. “Young Stunna,” he wrote in the captions. That picture currently has over 3 million likes and close to 200 comments so far.
Bazaar reported in early September of 2020 that Drake had also shared some other nice photos of his son’s first day of school. “First Day Of School. The World Is Yours, kid,” he put in the captions.
Adonis’ mother, Sophie Brussaux, was born in France and was formerly a model before becoming a painter. According to Billboard Magazine, she is very successful as an artist, and also founded a nonprofit specifically for artists called Arts Help.
Nicki Minaj’s Newborn Baby Boy
Nicki recently announced on October 15th, 2020 that she had given birth to a little baby boy over Instagram. According to Vulture, she got cards from so many of her friends. “Thank You Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol, and everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” she wrote in response to all the love. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.” The post currently has over 2.5 million likes and over 150 comments.
According to a recent update from The Today Show, the newborn baby’s name has not been publicly revealed just yet. But after hearing the news, her fans across the world can’t wait to hear what it is!
