50 Cent expresses his wants for actress and comedian Mo’Nique to have another opportunity in Hollywood. He recently took to Instagram demanding an apology for allegedly “blackballing” her in the industry.
The New York native aired his thoughts about the actress by reposting an infographic tape from HotNewHipHop that shows him sharing his thoughts about Mo’Nique’s circumstances.
“I’m sure Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry would not want to continue to allow there influence to damage @therealmoworldwide career and this has went on for way to long,” 50 calls out the two celebrities in a caption on the post.
Mo’Nique has communicated that her issues with Winfrey, Perry, and Lee Daniels derive from her refusing to promote “Precious” during the film’s awards campaign.
“Oftentimes, when it comes to a Black woman speaking up and speaking out, it goes unheard until she dies. Then once she dies, then we go back and say, ‘Well, she was right,’ and ‘let’s make a movie about it.'” During an discussion, the actress vented on the interview.
During her appearance on Turnt Out with TS Madison back in February, she talked about her conversation with Perry on the phone. The filmmaker allegedly apologized to her. After that interaction, Perry declined meeting with Mo’Nique in person except under two circumstances, including that they would meet without her husband, who is also her manager and apologize to him.
Mo’Nique’s last role in film or television was in 2016.
