Drake gave away the $1 million budget for his music video Gods plan. In the chart-topping song, the rapper gave $996,631.90 to those in need. Drake is no stranger to giving; earlier on in the month, Drake and Jack Harlow were filmed giving a musician from Turks and Caicos $20,000 and handing $10,000 cash to a fan in the same day. So it’s no surprise to hear the Tronto rapper and NBA star LeBron James teamed up to change a life. The moment was captured on video and shared on Instagram.
” Lot of memorable nights in this room in my life, for sure,” he tells the camera. “Speaking of memorable nights, I had an incredible night last night playing roulette on Stake,” Drake speaks at dinner at Toronto’s Harbour 60 restaurant, where his early video headlines took place.
The video then cuts to footage of Drizzy winning big on the Bitcoin gambling website.
“So yeah, as you can see, I was clearly excited,” he continued. “Anytime I get blessed like that, I always think it’s good karma that needs to be transferred. So, I play for fun and I play in hopes that I can spread love always. So tonight, I’m doing a dinner with my brother … We’re doing a Lobos dinner tonight.”
Drake and James invited student-athlete Michael, who plays basketball for the Royal Crown Academic School in Toronto. The player was mom accompanied while receiving a surprise.
The video showed Michael and his mom meeting with the OVO rapper and the Lakers star. Some hugs were shared and encouraging as Drake drew $100,000 cash and gave it to Michael’s mom. He then says, “Hopefully, it makes this journey a little easier,” Drake tells her. The rapper then presents Michael’s coach with a pair of shoes and money. But, the giving didn’t end there; the certified lover boy pledged to make donations to the athlete’s School.
