Grammy-nominated rapper Jack Harlow will now star in the 1992 sports comedy “White Men Can’t Jump” reboot. Harlow plays Woody Harrelson’s role in the original movie in the film. The sports comedy helped launch Woody Harrelson’s movie career as Cheers was winding down, making Wesley Snipes even more of a prominent star. The film follows the story of two street basketball hustlers who try to play each other, then team up for a more significant prize.
The filmmakers are presently in the process of finding the actor to fill the role portrayed by Snipes. Sources also report auditions are actively going on for Harlow’s character’s longtime girlfriend. The girlfriend in the original film is an aspiring “Jeopardy” contestant played by Rosie Perez.
