Actor Moses Ingram shared her hundreds of racist comments and messages on social media by star wars fans. As some were shocked, others were not here for the disrespect. The “Star Wars” franchise is standing with Ingram on the matter. The franchise tweeted how proud they were to welcome the actress as she made her debut as Revain in the Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
“There are more than 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be a racist.”
Ingram posted numerous samples of racist statements on Instagram, noting that she has received hundreds of messages, some of which included the N-word.
“There’s nothing anybody can do about this. There’s nothing anybody can do to stop this hate”, she shares her concerns in a video she published on her Instagram story.
Actors John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran have also spoken about the racist hatred they acquired after being a part of the “Star Wars” movies.
Tran was the first lady of color to star in a “Star Wars” film. She wrote about the harassment In the New York Times when she was received by fans of the franchise after appearing in 2017’s “The Last Jedi.” The hate became so severe Tran departed from social media and spent a moment in therapy.
