Singer Cassie Files Lawsuit Against Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alleging Decade-Long Cycle of Abuse and Trafficking. In a startling turn of events, singer Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, has filed a bombshell lawsuit against her former boyfriend, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit alleges that she endured a decade-long cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking at the hands of Combs. According to the complaint, Ventura claims that she was trapped in an abusive relationship with Combs, which included a 2018 rape incident when she attempted to leave him.

The lawsuit further states that Ventura experienced multiple instances of domestic violence throughout their relationship. After years of silence, Ventura said, “I am finally ready to tell my story and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”
She also mentioned that with the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act approaching, she felt compelled to come forward and shed light on the trauma she endured. Combs’ lawyer, Ben Brafman, in response to the allegations, called Cassie’s claims “offensive and outrageous.”
He denied the allegations and labeled Ventura’s demand of $30 million as blatant blackmail. Ventura’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, commended her bravery for rejecting Combs’ attempts to silence her with a hefty sum and standing up for all women who suffer in silence. The lawsuit reveals that Ventura first met Combs in 2005 when she was 19 years old and he was 37. She signed with Combs’ label, Bad Boy Records, in 2006, and soon after, he allegedly gained complete control over her life, making it impossible for her to escape his hold. Ventura alleges that Combs subjected her to physical abuse, often exhibiting uncontrollable rage.

The complaint states that he would hide her in hotels for days to conceal the bruises from the attacks. Furthermore, Ventura claims that Combs forced her to engage in encounters with sex workers, referred to as “freak offs” or “FOs.” These encounters allegedly involved the use of drugs such as ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, and alcohol. Despite multiple attempts to leave Combs and break free from the cycle of abuse, Ventura asserts that he always managed to track her down and manipulate her into returning, using threats that her career would suffer if she didn’t comply.

According to a legal complaint filed by singer Cassie, it is claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly made threats to destroy rapper Kid Cudi’s car. This incident is said to have occurred shortly before a vehicle exploded in Diddy’s driveway in 2012. The complaint also alleges that Cassie endured a decade of abuse from Diddy.
Ventura’s lawsuit is being brought under the Adult Survivors Act. This New York law allows sexual abuse victims to file civil suits even after the statute of limitations has expired. The one-year window to file cases under this law is set to close next week.
