It’s been four years since we saw Katt Williams on Netflix’s Comedy Special. With his self-titled comedy show, Katt Williams: World War III, Katt returns to make us laugh once again as he jokes on a stage with a background that includes destroyed airplanes and explosives. Williams filmed the show in Las Vegas at Dolby Live during his comedy tour. Even though the show was named after World War III, The comedian talks about a different war. He tells his audience the war was between truth and lies. His point of view on serious topics, making sense but also making a joke, showed true mastery. You really can’t beat someone making serious points while making you chuckle at the same time.
The show started off a little slow. However, the first half was the best part of the whole special. Katt spoke on the war on drugs, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Christianity, and other controversial topics.
Toward the ending of the special, Kat went in about different types of women and body parts, and that’s when the show became less funny. His efforts of distasteful jokes, along with The “Harriet Tubman” joke, made the excitement and joy of watching the performance die down.
In conclusion, to be absent in entertainment then to execute jokes as he did was extremely powerful to watch.
The performance was a high 3.5 out of five stars and may not be a classic like his other shows.
The first half-hour of the show you wouldn’t want to miss. Make sure to stream Katt Williams: World War III Out Now on Netflix.
