Laryngitis Is getting in the way of Lorde’s performance; therefore, she is forced to put her U.S. tour on hold.
The Grammy award-winning singer delivered the bad news Friday before her highly anticipated performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
“Connecticut — these past couple days I’ve been pushing through some horrendous laryngitis, and I regret to inform you that my voice has not sufficiently recovered to be able to play the show for you tonight,” she said in a statement, according to WVIT.
“I’m so, so sorry. I don’t take postponing a show lightly.” she informed fans in an email. “I’ve tried everything, and unfortunately, it’s physically impossible for me to sing much of the set. Please accept my sincere apologies. All well besides that, and absolutely frothing to party with you when I am able. Rescheduling info to come.” She continued.
The star also postponed her Saturday night gig in Washington, D.C., at the Anthem.
“I’ve tried everything, and unfortunately it’s physically impossible for me to sing much of the set. Please accept my sincere apologies. All well besides that, and absolutely frothing to party with you when I am able. Rescheduling info to come.”
The Connecticut and D.C. shows are now scheduled to take place on Aug. 25 and Aug. 29. Tickets to the actual events will be honored for the new dates.
