Recently Minaj collaborated with Baby on their single “Do We Have a Problem?” and the song “Bussin,” which may appear on her upcoming album. The late single “Do We Have a Problem?” skyrocketed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Bussin” hit the top 20.Recently Lil baby treated his fans to two new music videos.
“Fucc It I Just Dropped 2 Videos !!! ‘Right On’ Out now… #mysummerstartsnow,” Baby wrote after releasing his two recent tracks, “In a Minute” and “Right On,” as well. The video for “Right On” was directed by Shaq Gonzo, and Baby got into the director chair himself for “In a Minute.” It’s unknown if the two tracks are just singles or if they will land on a forthcoming project. The Atlanta native released his previous solo studio album, My Turn, in February of 2020. The following year he connected with Lil Durk for the collaborative album that was named, The Voice of the Heroes. The project is a joint studio album released through Quality Control Music, 4 Pockets Full, Only the Family, Alamo Records, and Geffen Records.
The album dropped on June 4, 2021. The title references Durk’s childhood nickname of “The Voice” and Baby’s nickname of “the Hero,” which Lil Durk gave him. The album includes features from Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave with impressive production from London on da Track, Wheezy, Turbo, and Murda Beatz. The body of work newly broke a Billboard record by spending 85 weeks in the top 10 of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, exceeding Post Malone’s record of 84 weeks on the chart with his 2019 album Hollywood Bleeding.
Back in March, Baby Tweeted that it would “be a nastyyyyy summer” and that it was his “turn again.”
