Playboi Carti reportedly threw his guitarist across the stage during a live performance in Spain. The rapper usually performs live with lots of enthusiasm and energy; however, he might have taken it too far in this performance. The Primavera Sound music festival in Barcelona, Spain, was entirely in motion as Playboi Carti took the stage Thursday night and quickly turned sour as Carti grabbed his guitarist and threw him across the stage. Fans captured the video. After the musician fell, he quickly got back on stage before the video ended. It is unclear why or how the incident took place.
Primavera Sound, known simply as Primavera, is a music festival held in Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain, every year. The Festival takes place between the end of May and the beginning of June. The organization’s first event occurred in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and eventually moved to the Parc del Fòrum as its event became more popular in 2005.
Primavera Sound happens to be one of the grandest and most-attended music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Mediterranean.
Late last year, Playboi Carti undertook the King Vamp Tour with rapper Rico Nasty and Ken Car$on. The tour took place from mid-October to the end of December. The tour also featured some outlandish moments. At one of the concerts, a video captured by fans shows a fan getting assaulted in the crowd. A fan also went viral after being seen wearing an ankle monitor to one of his other shows as he was caught on video bragging about breaking his curfew to be present for the show. In April, fanatics attending another one of Playboi Carti’s shows at the Smoker’s Club Fest in California broke down a barricade and rushed the stage.
Playboi Carti was originally signed to a local underground label, Awful Records, before signing on with AWGE Label under Interscope Records. After accumulating a massive following from early in his career, he quickly earned the attention of the public in 2017 when he went mainstream. His debut mixtape was released in April of that same year and included his Billboard Hot 100 charting songs “Magnolia” and “Woke Up Like This,” featuring Lil Uzi. The rapper’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Whole Lotta Red, hit number one on the Billboard 200, and the project became his first chart-toppers in the year 2020.
